Stakeholder workshop in Brooke’s Point, Palawan

On 12 February 2026, the ZooMap team conducted a multistakeholder workshop in Brgy. Amas, Brooke’s Point, Palawan, Philippines, to explore diverse value perspectives surrounding the Philippine pangolin (Manis culionensis) and document stakeholder aspirations for its conservation.

The workshop brought together stakeholders to reflect on how the Philippine pangolin is valued and to articulate their visions for the future of the species and its conservation. These perspectives contribute to ZooMap’s broader work on understanding human-wildlife relations and supporting more inclusive approaches to conservation.

The workshop was organised by the ZooMap team from Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE), in partnership with Conservation International Philippines and the Sub-committee on Pangolin Conservation and Management under the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) Environment and Natural Resources Committee.
